The XLS series is Class D with a single fan whereas the XLI is traditional class A/B so you would think the XLS series are quieter? Ideally I would get a fan-less amplifier in the same price range (below $500 for 500W/4ohms/2 channel) but I don't know if they even exist. Thanks.
