That would tell you if it's the Jeep thinking you are losing control when you hit the bump. Another thing is the brake (or clutch) pedal return spring. If it is too loose, or the bump is sufficiently strong, either pedal moving excessively over a bump will cancel the cruise control.

WebApr 11, 2014 · While driving to work Monday, I hit the button to turn on Cruise and nothing. Got to work, checked for fuses, didn't see any on the interior. Popped the hood. Disconnected the wire harness by the fender, jiggled the wire attached to the throttle. Got back in and the light came on. Sweet.
