Ive had a quick search of the forum for this problem and what I found confirmed what the garage told me; Its the pressure relief valve that's making the noise. However I know that only a few things could cause the squeak: -Oxygen mixing with the fluid. -particles in the liquid (although less likely) WebDec 19, 2008 · The noise is coming from the front drivers side wheel area. It is a screeching sound but it only happens when im driving below like 50mph. My first thought was a wheel bearing going out but the noise completly stops when i turn the wheel left or right. I jacked the car up about two weeks ago to see if there was any movement and i couldnt feel any.

WebOct 27, 2024 · 28 Posts. #5 · Oct 25, 2024. A wheel bearing shouldn't make a high pitched metallic screeching noise. Plus, the sound will vary with the turning angle with a bad bearing. I would take the caliper off, remove the rotor and inspect for damage. If there is something stuck in there, you may see a groove in the rotor.
